Record Stores... Whats your latest buy?

Doug: Were there any pre-recorded open reel tapes? I see plenty of cassettes, records, and, even, 8-tracks.

Nando.

Nando,

I did see some 7" tape on reels. It wasn't in a box so don't know if it was blank or what. I don't kow if there was any more open tape I didn't see. A question for another trip.

Doug

If you should find any pre-recorded open-reel tape of classic rock, or jazz titles, I would appreciate you letting me know by PM, Doug.

Good pick! I sure hope there's an LP or concert DVD for the old man under the tree.

I had the shop bring me in a couple more of the Maiden picture disc's. They arrived Tuesday and I picked up Powerslave and Live After Death Today. Still need s/t and Beast.

Got the new gov't mule lp shout. It's a pretty good lp. I also got the uk press it is a double lp. Not as good as mule of past but still good. A lot of great guest on it also

OH man, Volbeat is killer. They have 5 albums and a live album out. If you are into heavy stuff, youll like them.

Best analogy is, if Elvis, Jonny Cash, and Metallica, crapped out 4 doods and called them a band, it would be Volbeat.

With a analogy like that I'm gonna have to find some and hear this lol.

Couple others I had picked up were,

Twisted Sister - Love Is For Suckers

Stryper - In God We Trust

Aerosmith - Pump.

Wow yeah you analogy was spot on lmao they are deff heavy but mix all the western and metal together.. With a rockabilly look lol.

Yeah they definitely have that Social Distortion thing going on. Right jacked up in 50's style. An interesting part of their music, is starting on the second or third album they tell a tale through "some" of the songs throughout their albums. Not every song is a part of the story but usually there are several that relate. Guitar Gangsters is heavily influenced by the story. Rob Caggiano from Anthrax is now their lead guitar player.

Here's what I found today.

The promo only Social Distortion 12" was a nice find.

Today's grab,

Aerosmith - Done With Mirrors, and Rock In A Hard Place
Rainbow - Long Live Rock And Roll
Dio - Dream Evil

Damn Ben, your amassing quite the nice collection!

A friend sets up at our local fleamarket so he got to walk around and make "deals" before the crowd got in and collects records, classical, jazz and 45's but bagged these for me for a couple bucks each. Records are NM+, the Circus Lupus cover looks ok except for the start of a mouse chew??? LOL

Thanks Ron.

That second album has a sweet cover. I love seeing your posts pertaining to vinyl. You show so much shit I have never heard of. I need to check out more of it on Youtube, because a lot of the stuff you post is uber rare.

I actually picked up quite a few in between my last 2 posts here. Forgot about the thread....:smokin:

That Social Distortion is a very nice addition to your collection indeed! Never had the opportunity to own one. A friend in NY has his copy framed in his mancave. Very cool :tongue1:
