Awesome grabs Ben, thanks for snagging the Alice also!! I love that track "The Audience is Listening" on the Vai. For the Love of God is definitely WOPL Mach 8 material also!

Today I tarded a pretty rare record for $40 and two Metallica boxsets, Through the Never #186 of 4000 and Louder Faster Heavier box set. Yesterday I sold another rare lp set and got 4 sealed Led Zeppelin bootlegs as part of the deal. Looking forward to seeing this stuff and I will post pron also

Awesome Ron, I have a Through The Never set @ 33 1/2 RPM. There is a numbered set on 45 RPM down at the shop. Havent felt the need for that.

I guess both sets I have coming are the 45rpm'ers. Looking forward to hearing them and check out the packaging. I know nothing about them but I dig Metallica so why not

Well, got those 2 fancy shmantzy Metallica lp 45rpm 4lp boxsets, here is my thoughts. Images will follow later

Through the Never - Blackened Records/Warner. Excellent presentation package with hand painted blood sleeves? You also get a full sized stencil, also handpainted? The stencil reminds me of the one that came in the Binge & Purge boxset though a different design. Heavy vinyl plays pretty quiet, mastered well and in nice and flat. Outer packaging superb, mine is red stamped 186/4000. I give this a 5 star recommendation if you can score one while they are relatively cheap. These are numbered of 4000 sets made so it has good collector value as well if you keep it clean. This one is staying in the very kickass Soundstage Direct mailer box, best style I have seen. Wish I could buy them in bulk

The Black Album - Warner Records. Outer box heavy but not as nice as the Never boxset. It's the cover of the Black Album so it's black anyway LOL. This one looks like it would be very suseptible to wear so it should probably be kept in a marked mailer also. Records are VERY heavy but not very flat. I dig "My Friend of Misery" which is on the last disc and was immediately blown away buy the quality of the sound once the music started HUGE. Basically like a CD loud. However, the record is noisy in quiet passages and tarck leadins. Though the record is immaculate, it groove jumped three times just during that song. I tried two other V15 carts tracking at 1gr to 1.25gr and it still jumped. The tonearm was moving around a lot also. The individual heavy sleeves are cool for the lp, just not that extra coolness factor like the Never set, blackish LOL. You get a semigloss cover sheet as well. Only because of the pressing flaws, I would unfortunately NOT recommend this set to anyone. This is why we buy records, to hear them, not look at the. It will be traded back for something else hopefully. The guy I got it from is a friend from AK. I am quite sure he never listened to the set in it's entirety, it looks mint

Was in Oshawa today, picked up London Quireboys - I Dont Love You Anymore, shaped pic disc, ZZ Top - My Heads In Mississippi - cadzilla shaped pic disc.

Another Item that came in the mail which I had ordered from the artist himself.

These had come up on his website for sale. Apparently some items that had been lying around that hadnt sold. Coincidentally the outer sleeve had been signed by the artist for the release of these. Sold only at the Whiskey on July 13 2011 after his show.

eBoy has 'em. Didn't see any at the two stores I visited. Probably one of the more desirable releases to diehard, "old" generation LP fanatics.

On eBoy, you're looking at ~ $49 (for BIN starters) which is about twice the price of a single disc 180g, limited edition release on RSD. So the price seems about right IMHO.
Bid listings on eBoy might garner you a lower price in the end. And then there are the obvious scalpers at much higher price offerings.

I went the epay route for the abb! It was 37$. Could be worse for a double lp!! Plus I don't know what the face price was! Prob 25 to 30$

Glad you got it while you can for a good price Jason. I was hoping for the Dream Theater and the Mastodon Live but no cash, no albums LOL
