What happens when you use an up to date browser like Firefox or Chrome? These browsers are not dependant upon windows they do their own updating an will work with older operating system.

I do believe if you use one of those browsers you posting issues will dissappear.

Oh, I suspect more than that...I found that, despite leaving GWX Control Panel in place and trying to reset my Windows Update settings from there when I found this computer had been likely reset from an update to automatically install updates (which I didn't dig as I tend to wait for signs they screwed up a rollup after the October one), and I did a System restore to before the latest ones and promptly hid all three of this months on Valerie until I get to the bottom of this.

Not acceptable. I also cleared the update cache of 19,000 plus items and when I did the restore I got all back up to the 9th and have my permissions back.

It's bad enough trying to help others occasionally solve their OWN problems by contributing to MS Answers but then to have my own PCs messed up leaves me at a strong disadvantage.

At least I am posting to vB4 without problems now.

And I need to hurry downtown on foot and get Tempest from the shop after I had cramps this morning and into the afternoon from working all night getting THIS running.

Another round, suspecting it's more than me this week, and maybe a partial factor of Cumulative Update Stupefaction Syndrome or C.U.S.S, in which everybody is changing their website at the same time, not just vBulletin.

pages are updating, even if the posts are posting, as I will find out if I get back to another page okay

TESTOSTERONE TESTAROSSA TESTAMENT

Clear the cache, does wonders and didn't even get a missing token error for having this sit here in the composing window forever...

Back to your normally scheduled WOPL clinics, already in progress.

I'd love some grape juice but I'm diabetic. I have a nearly new 8 track of French Kiss as well.

I got the message and am tracking.

PS The records I bought the other day went from California to Jacksonville, FLORIDA yesterday and I called USPS and told them I think they were partying with Gator cheerleaders on their way to New York and ONTARIO, CANADA.

THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE...these guys are UNION.

Now aren't you glad the Christmas package is by download?

(See below, I've waited to hear from you all about it and only got a couple messages so far)

I'm looking to see if I can find it saved but you and I will have to dig to see what happened to the Opti. All else that remains is the side door, which fits nothing else. I found a P4 2.2 GHZ and the other Smelleron 2.53 that came from Delia?, some bent pins. CELERON is the car radio delete option equivalent for computers. No cache, all trash.

I have others stashed more safely

I'll go look for the other processors I have but it would still be nice to know which quad-core model it was.

Ok, I had trhe chance to pickup a basket case Optiplex 780 for parts but I guess since you no longer have that computer. I'll pass on the 4 core optiplex with 8gb of memory.

I'm not even sure what it would go in here. I was up until 4 am getting 7 reloaded on Alison and I wasn't about to call the ISPs tech support to refresh myself on setting up the internet and wake up Socks, and I just got up myself.

So I have VW (Virgin Windows).

I see what my problem is now...

I installed 7 Home Premium 32-bit and the original was 64-bit.

Al the HP downloads I saved were for 64-bit, there are no 32-bit so my Ethernet controller and two other things I really needed are not installed or available.

I have to go find the right Windows disk//////

I have one though.

Speed dating would be more fun.

Actually found that DVD quickly, so here we go again...have to swap the Ethernet cable now.

Had to clean the DVD, it's starting to expand the Windows files but we'll see if I get another error.

Okay, Alison is back. I'm now installing the HP 64-bit update files and she goes online now.

Gotta activate her now.

All installed, antivirused and what not...now to get her to update Windows finally.

You are soaking in it, this is via Alison.

Doctor and feed them hungry WOPLs now, gentlemen.

Okay, believe it or don't I believe I have to go to 7 Professional 64-bit to get the key to work, that seems to jog my memory, so it's brain transplant number 3 for Alison and I'll be away for a short while. while I borrow the Ethernet cable from Phoebe here at the bench.
