equalizer has date embedded in the boards...seems thi is a january 1982 model...full of chips....

I meant go analog with your graphics equalizer, which you did.
 
ahhh...yes...1982 model...great condition and good price...the driver in the voigt is full range...didnt need all the goodies in dsp...just tamp dow mids a bit...this is perfect!!!
getting there bit by bit...learning along the way...
 
this afternoon...the hafler recap kit and ps cap upgrade arrived for one unit....got it disassembled...and a bit done on left channel...
doesnt look too bad...we shall see...the haflers are a board per channel...more substaintial than the 400s...but at least a decade newer...plenty of time for newer technology...these boards done appear to be worked on...kinda fun learning new stuff...
 
got both channels rebuilt ...left channel rewired and installed... installed bigger ps caps...got inrush limiter installed...will double check and rewire and install right channel...these are a bit more involved than the 400s...but still fun...next week i will order for other amp...
 
complete...double tripled checked...

bias 275 ma
had a bad solder joint on one of the b- wires...
thus the triple check...
back on line...
what a difference in bass with the big caps ..
i took note of mr. joe....
damn...sounds great...
next week i will order the kit for the other amp...
breakin it in on time clocks!!!

very clean amp...unmolested...all original!!!!

Look at the Topping E70. Seems to be a DAC of choice.
 
Some of the guys are using them in place of on board chips in measuring equipment I think, at least that seems what's going on. I need to do more reading and learn more. Pricey aren't they?
 
I've had the D50s for the past couple years. Extremely impressed with it - over the D10 that I've had for much longer. Both are solid DACs, but the D50s is notches above the D10
