Hey Tasuke, do you happen to know what table those Pio headshells come from. I have one of those too on my PL 71, but I think its not the correct shell for the table.
the two Pio models are for the PL-112D/-115D/-117D series, and possibly the PL-510A as well.

the other is from a KENWOOD i briefly had in between the REALISTIC i had before and the Pio PL-112D i have now...

(BTW; if anyone has a copy of this type of headshell lying around that they don't mind parting with, please let me know. it would be kinda nice to have a matched set...)

Thanks for the offer Nando. While I dont necessarily "need' one, the match for the PL71 table would be a beautiful thing.

Are you looking forward to getting the ES deck back Nando?
Ben, Nando....my PL-71 has the one that you say it is, the one on the far right, black w/ circular silver "Pioneer" logo.
Thanks, Dave.

Ben: I just spoke to Gordon at IA, after work, today. Someone else may be on the hunt for the same head shell, as he was sure they received a call, today, about whether there was one at the store. Unfortunately, nothing available just, yet.

Nando.

I'm using a humble Ortofon OM10, because I'm poor. However it still puts a smile on my dial. Eyeing off an Audio Technica AT440MLa for the future.

Shure V15 type II w/ Shure Super Track
Shure V15 type IV w/ Jico SAS

I have a few other brands kicking around but they see no use, I like the V15's best

Is the dust brush attached to the headshell?

100% sure, I spent 4 hours aligning my Thorens TD 160 Super, my eyes were killing me after that exercise.
Stare at the cover of Heart's Dreamboat Annie for as long as you need to, this will fix that.

I have the AT440MLa, it is a good cartridge but a little bright compared with my Shure V15 Type IV

I have heard this is a common characteristic of the cartridge, and can be tamed with a loading adjustment if need be. 47k has been suggested to me for this. The Shures also sound very nice.

I think I have two of the OM10's in a box somewhere, nothing wrong with them in the least. I also still have a MM100 and a MC100 stashed new in box

Also next time I'm down at Bluestreak here in town, ill see if he can swing a price break on em, as my brother wants one too.
I will check at my LRS tomorrow and see if a special order may be placed through them as well. If they can order them, I am pretty sure they will hook us up if we buy three.

Hey Doug, I was down at Bluestreak today and Tim the ower said he'd get em for me at that same price. They should be in next Wednesday. Not sure ill be able to pick them up before I leave to go north on thursday or not. Will PM with the details.

Thanks, Dave.

Hey Nando, thanks again for inquiring about the Pioneer headshell.

Now that I have a 2M Blue on the way, I may be looking at some Ortofon headshells in the near future.

I am definitely looking forward to the 2M Blue's as well Doug. I wonder if my Red will get much use afterwards. The Red has been a stand up cart. So it should be interesting to run the Blue to compare them.
