Hope you can enjoy Fathers day Gene, and heal up.
That would be quite a scare!
Sending prayers to you and your family.
Been riding bikes for 50 years, and we always say "Keep the shiny side up".
.......and yes, we don't bounce at our age anymore.
Take Care
no...we dont bounce as well as we should....
happy dday to all here....
thanks!!!

Like my BlueTooth ?
well...was coming home ...downhill...when the motor died...i think it the fuel pump as the sendung unit quit...they are one unit...i have a new one...was waiting to burn down the fiel level to drop tank...any way ... i decided to coast as far as i could when i entered th ess curve....where i quickly discovered one person can not turn the steering wheel alone with no hydraulics...i actually bent the steering wheel trying...and of course i was riding the brakes down hill a bit until i evidently exhausted the vacuum reserve...and could not stop either...
so...i hit the embankment and it ran two tires on the right up the hill ....and decided to lay down...
about 30 people showed up...and flipped it back over....changed the front right right tire...towed it to the mechanic...my son rode the running board to help steer it as we pulled it with his izuzu suv....
i was very blessed...to walk away.....
Shoot man ain't nothing wrong with that truck, you oughta see how we down em here in Alabama! For real though, glad you are ok brother.

music...the healer of souls...
good morning guys....
a question....please...
i have wanted a set of voight pipes for a long time now....
i think i will build one....just to see how good they are....
and i will have enough amps to drive them....
the sx1080 has 2 places for speakers and a button that selects speakers a or speakers b or both...and i am sure it would keep the impedience
near the appropriate range...8 ohm...
is it better to combine the speakers at output....and if so how do i manage the impedience....
or
would it be better to have seperate amps....
i think i would like to have a 400 for my main speakers and another 400 for the voight pipes...
how can i syncronize the inputs....will one preamp and a y cable....or 2 preamps with a fiber optic hub in front of the two preamps???
i have the extra preamps...two pieces of schiit (magni 3+ and a heresey) and a modi 3e dac....
i will be using the chrome cast off of the tv and the tv has a chromecast built in...... the tv has a fiber optic digital output...
and i have a bluetooth transmitter with fiber output also....which i put in line ahead of the dacs...because it too has a fiber out...
am i opening a bucket of worms???
i dont think so...i see lots of similar systems for home theaters...multiple amps, speakers, etc....
i see a lot of your pics here with multiple amps in the rack...
i can also have an amp for stereo subs if i so desire....even though i do not think is necessary....
i am not a big of a bass fan as i used to be....
and sniff and george, and joe would be proud....as i have grown accustomed to no tone modifications on the 400s....and the sx runs flat too....
i honestly think it sounds better.....natural...as it was designed to be heard....
i know there is a big brain trust out there, just waiting to be unleashed....
comments please....

Shoot yeah, look easy to build, and interesting also. Go for it! Think about how much better today's full range speakers are versus those from the 1930s.
Might want to do more reading first. A modern "transmission line" may do better, or not
No degradation using "Y"s.

Degrade ? Why would the signal degrade ? It's the same signal out as you had before just split.
well....i figured analog signals degrade when split or duplicated....
as when we were dubbing tapes and vcr recordings....
guess i was wrong...
oh well, not the first time....
and certainly not the last...
lol
thanks!!!!

it was the fuel pump on the truck that made it quit....it cranked up as soon as they hit the pump/tank with a club...
exactly what i figured....they are changing the pump at the body shop when the guy pulls the bed to fix my boo boos...
the estimate for body work and paint to fix the truck is 1021 dollars....not including parts...
i dont have a price for a used dodge original fender and window glass....
will know tomorrow...available locally....should be very reasonable...
i will buy the mirror, window vents and lights from amazon....i had to change my lights anyway...they would not pass inspection next year because of the sun damage to the plastic lenses....cant polish it out any more....after 18 years...
i think i will get out for a bit over 1600 or so...all of the rest is easily salvagable ....
labor here is very cheap compared to prices elsewhere....
and this guy is first class....he puts out perfect work...
quite different from most....
i could had got it done much cheaper...but, this will be the truck they bury me in...
i keep it immaculate shape...i dont want to trade up...and will pay the extra for marcos....well worth it...
another bit of good news!!!!
life is good!!!
