good morning guys....
a question....please...
i have wanted a set of voight pipes for a long time now....
i think i will build one....just to see how good they are....
and i will have enough amps to drive them....
the sx1080 has 2 places for speakers and a button that selects speakers a or speakers b or both...and i am sure it would keep the impedience
near the appropriate range...8 ohm...
is it better to combine the speakers at output....and if so how do i manage the impedience....
or
would it be better to have seperate amps....
i think i would like to have a 400 for my main speakers and another 400 for the voight pipes...
how can i syncronize the inputs....will one preamp and a y cable....or 2 preamps with a fiber optic hub in front of the two preamps???
i have the extra preamps...two pieces of schiit (magni 3+ and a heresey) and a modi 3e dac....
i will be using the chrome cast off of the tv and the tv has a chromecast built in...... the tv has a fiber optic digital output...
and i have a bluetooth transmitter with fiber output also....which i put in line ahead of the dacs...because it too has a fiber out...
am i opening a bucket of worms???
i dont think so...i see lots of similar systems for home theaters...multiple amps, speakers, etc....
i see a lot of your pics here with multiple amps in the rack...
i can also have an amp for stereo subs if i so desire....even though i do not think is necessary....
i am not a big of a bass fan as i used to be....
and sniff and george, and joe would be proud....as i have grown accustomed to no tone modifications on the 400s....and the sx runs flat too....
i honestly think it sounds better.....natural...as it was designed to be heard....
i know there is a big brain trust out there, just waiting to be unleashed....
comments please....
