New to me PL400

Brake cleaner is my go to when all else fails. Sounds like you like your job also. I get dirty and bust my ass, use my head, and create solutions. Don't get much better. Plus I have access to machines to make anything I want.

I love my job, nothin like workin on your own oilwells....

What's up with the user name there oblivion??

Completely random, but subliminal. Needed a Username quick for a new login on a website. I was deep in the music and was feeling oblivious to a really rough day I had at work and heard "Daddy. Check This out...."...3...2...1... Back to reality. Typed it in the box. Always making the kids first and manage to come back to Oblivion. Multitasking.....3...2....1..."Daddy".... See how this works? I Love my kids.

Got the new outputs and drivers in the mail today. Hoping I'll get some time this weekend to actually start doing something in the positive direction on this beast. Are there any special precautions, tips, hints, tricks to replacing the output banks? Once i fumble through that and DBT it, check DC and bias, I'll attempt the DC board.

So, I took the day off work today to get my daughters wrist casted. Had a little time when i got home so decided to get the new outputs and drivers installed. I put my helmet on and plugged it in to the DBT. All is good. Dc....Right -9.v mv. Left -3.9. Bias 343 and 342. Plugged it in direct and guess what............ No fire, no brimstone, no spewing Lava. Checked it out again. Got -11.2 and -4.2 offset and 346 and 342 bias. Did I get lucky so far? I don't want to underestimate this beast.

Well, most of that was just a bad rap. They did suffer from a lack of a DC protect board, that really wasn't necessary...

I know that. I'm just having fun here and happy that It's working so far, even if I have never even heard this amp.

I still remember my first one. A Luxman L-85V that I had fixed successfully 4 separate times, and wound up screwing with it long enough I'd blow something else. It sits on a shelf staring at me....all day.....every day.....
