Need help to repair two phase 400 amps

We don't want the amp ON for these, and discharge the caps...

Nice Thanks. That will not be for awhile it would seems. Lee. I am beginning to think I may have jumped in to soon. And the reason I say that is because I have to burden you with things I should already know. And what makes it a bitch is the little time I have available to go and read up on everything. There is no doubt that I want to learn, And I may be a bit slow but learn I will in time. So what is your take on helping me? It has to be somewhat of a burden on you to help someone as green as I am. If you want to call it off until I have time to learn a bit more so to help in the process Let me know ok? I don't want to burden anyone.

Larry - if Phoenix can put up with me you're a piece of cake. Trust me! :tongue3:

Thanks Nav, I just feel kinda bad causing extra work. It's not like they are getting paid. But then again I am sure they will be rewarded down the road for the good deeds. I should have done some reading and got a little of the basics out of the way. I jumped in to soon!

Some put their toe in the water and others just jump in. Jumping in is OK - it just takes a bit to get calibrated. Make sure those caps aren't loaded and try not to let the smoke out - you'll eventually get there.

Ok Lee, here is what I came up with.

10.7 10.9 10.9 10.9
------------------------------

1657 1664 1645 1641
reversed leads
1672 1664 1640 1634
------------------------------
.4 .4 .4 .4
.4 .4 .4 .4
.4 .4 .4 .4
x .4 x .4
------------------------------

Take a pic of the component that is giving you those 1600 readings.
