Derek92994's 700 Ser II White Oak conversion

I just tested the socket on dbt with a test plug, it only needed a handful of volts. I have connected variac to mains, dbt to variac and amp to dbt

I dont remember testing bias transistors on backplane, which test method?

They are NPN, Pos on base, neg on Emitter, just checking for shorts right quick..

Bias transistors measure

right backplane
843 +on pin 1 -on pin 3
1259 +on pin 1 -on pin 2
698 +on pin 2 -on pin 3
701 -on pin 1 +on pin 2
1360 -on pin 1 +on pin 3
1803 -on pin 2 +on pin 3

Left backplane is around the same

Picos, rail fuses and bias transistors all good

Ok 20 volts at a time. Relays click around 120v right?

Relays click around 60 to 80 rail voltage....it'll get bright as caps charge, bring it up slowly in small steps, the bulb should dim as caps charge...

The meters moved around and pegged for a second 20 to 40 volts. I got up to 80 volts and still no bulb glowing??

Ahhh....it is glowing. OK, check DC offset on input of DC protect board...
