But with this Pioneer D901S amp (using as pre amp) I get to 3 oclock on the dial before it sounds "loud", that's with the amp turned up full. Are the pre outs too weak on this pre amp?

Honesty, when getting to 3 oclock on the dial, I'm fearing for my speakers, keep in mind that for some reason this pre-amp is weak. But the sound is so sweet, I have many many tunes to explore on this beauty!!!

This WOPL just does NOT distort, its just so damn strong, incredible. I would not even think of trying to max it out on my JBLs.

Mine are in a sealed , very tight cabinet, my rule of thumb is about 3-4 minutes cooldown between songs if I'm at Mach 9...
