Clair Bros Amp

Ok only did a short vid since it takes forever to upload, looks like about halfway but if I get timed out

well FUCK!!!!

Ron is fine :toothy5:

Steven, are you cringing? Prepare for this...

Did it work??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/ I can't tell on a government computer

Yep, been running since and just finished the Sabbath debut CD. Going to do hit replay now, sounded fabulous. I had a lot of respect for the little Infinitys having used them with the CS800 outside but wow they sound WICKED nice with this amp, even my son came in and said it sounded great

I don't hear any funny stuff either going on with the amp. I have the gain levels set halfway, more then enough for the RS1's. Cylon eyes move nice, this is a good sounding amp Perry, thank you so much Brother

On that note, I wanted to get down to the PO to ship your package and PM you but I am having fun just sitting between the speakers at the moment and slowly bring the volume up here shortly LOL

Vid was shitty quality, I am disappointed that the light was that bad. Hopefully you get a general idea of sound

My first 700 wow, I can't believe it was used by Sabbath and it's sitting on my livingroom floor doing what it does best

and no speakers were damaged in the filming of this video

Thumbs up bro. I'll have to wait to get home to hear/see it. It was hit or miss with these amps to know what was working and what wasn't. That's why with these I said "No worky worky" YOU got lucky.

Yep, it does have a very slight hum that does not increase with the volume but that might be my quick cobbed hookup or the preamp, I have not really tried it since I got it from Vlad. I want to gas the Infinity's but Deb is on the phone. They are well above conversation level right now

The thunder crack and rain at the beginning of the disc sounds sick with the Sonic Holography engaged

Congrats Ron:hello1:

Welcome to the "700 club"
I have a 700II that Ed built about ten years ago (full comp) and it is killer.
A WOPL is also in a future build on my original 700B

cheers

The book says to pull the plug and flip the polarity (turn it 180 degrees) may get rid of the hum.

Man, just took it up to almost -10dBs and the Infinity's just BLOOMED, holy shit what bass these things can put out and how clean the amp sounds, it's ridiculous. I took a vid but I am sure the sound is terrible. I have no speakers hooked up to this desktop ATM so I can't even hear them playback

Ron, WOPL'ing it would be nice but that amp is already full comp. Should have more than enough ass for ya.

Ron, since you have gain pots for volumn control on the amp, you could hook the cd player direct to eliminate possible
problems from the preamp

I will mess with it later Mike, I was going to do that initially but wanted to try the C1 out and dust the cobwebs off the dbx CDP
