Audio Alchemy

I just got the AA stuff on it's way to Web Police today. Sorry it took awhile... didn't want to puke on it with that weird-ass flu I had last week. :pukeright:

Gonna have to quarantine by stuffing it in socks with mothballs when it arrives. :cyclops:

Ok, the box showed up, now I have to figure out how to hook it up.

Might take a few days to evaluate as I have been sicker than dog all week. :(

I will note I did get them both hooked up and I get sound from the outputs.

I'm sorry you are sick. I feel for you I have had a sinus headache for 3 days now. Did it improve the sound of your CDP? Give us a review.

Bingo, I have had a sinus infection all week and a pounding headache and a scratchy dry throat. I think this is the worst sore throat that I can ever remember.

As far as the AA stuff goes, I will have to listen this weekend. Mu observations so far are this:

Lack of on off switches on the devices, means that whenever I turn them back on I have to reset to the correct inputs.

I have wall wart power supplies, why don't they make the component the same width as the rest of my gear and put the power supplies inside and us an IEC cord?

I only had time time to listen for a minute or two last night. I am not sure I will be a good judge with a stuffed up head, but I will try to do an A/B comparison with the AA's and my players internal DAC. If I have the chance I will try several different players to see what difference it makes.

I've been listening a little and it is about what I expected lol. I can't really tell any difference between my good cd players internal DAC and these external behemoths. I have a few more cd and dvd players, systems and source materials to try out though. :)

You have to get in on this. You will not believe it. Trust me my friend. It will open up your ears to a new experience.

Okey Dokey, I'm in please :brilsmurf: Dale will probably love it so much I can talk him into buying them.

Larry are you going to have any extra of the AA Gear for sale? I might be interested in a pair of them depending upon the prices. :)

I have DTIs. The pro version. I got the DDE your listening to off ebay. I won't kill you with the price. What did you find out? We can talk money. I can ask Mark if he has any more DDE. Really the most covenant thing is the power supplies. PM me with an offer. The DAC in a box is suppose to be great.

Larry

I thought the one I have was for Jerry. Send me a pm with a price for the DTI and DDE. I haven't tried one without the other yet. so far on my better players there isn't much difference, but over the lower cost cd and dvd players there seems to be a big difference. I will do more testing this weekend.

I have one DTI PRO for sale. With the 4 power supply. I have an email into Mark. I really wish I had more. I have another DTI not a Pro. And something else I sent Lee instead of a DDE. So I sent him the last DDE I had. Do you want the DTI Pro. And shop for a DDE? Let me see what Mark says.

Larry

I am watching a DDE V1.1 on the big site. I am sure it will go much higher than it currently is but we will see. lol

I'll have to try the units individually this weekend to see which one is making the biggest difference.

Well I sent someone a listing of the broken one. They said they could fix it. If you talk real sweet to him he just might fix it for you. LOL Let me know if you are going to bid on it.

Larry

I am watching a working one, so if you want to bid on the non working ones go ahead.

I'm losing my mind. God help me. I bought an AA III CD transport yesterday am bidding on another because I only have 2 CDPs and 3 systems. I forgot Mark is sending me 5 Onix Cdps. I'm losing my mind.

It isn't funny when I do crap like this.
