I remember you sending me that link Lee. They DO look pretty good. Luckily I have knobs for the 700B's that look alright. The one Jerry has is probably the worst looking ones, and even then, they are not that bad. A few scratches in the plastic by the previous owner.
Yeah I have wondered myself too what a bottom meter swinging 700 would look like? I was leaning that way once, when I had the PL400 and 700B bi-amped together. I wanted matching meters and preferred the arc style VU scale-from the bottom meter swing, over the flat bar VU scale-from the top meter swing. But unless there is a way to correct the windings or whatever it is, inside the meter itself, then the meter is shot. Just got overstressed from the last owner "pegging" the outputs with the -20db switch set to be sensitive or blew a channel out? Who knows.....
