I thought we had a discussion about the PL200 Series 1 back in the early pages of this thread...

that we did ...my current inquiry was not covered in that discussion...i understand how unpopular that model is in this forum...i am looking to replace it...in the meantime...i sure would like to use it...

i got a dayton 408...4 in 8 out...the bluetooth never worked...parts express send a new dongle...dod not help...sent a rma for replacing...
i probably should have stuck with the advice from george...and get the minidsp series...in my defense the dayton was rated very highly ..

It is unpopular everywhere Gene, because it is so unreliable and does not sound very pleasing.

The PL200 S2 is a much better sounding amp but is likewise almost as unreliable.

i am impressed with the dsp theory...totally flexible...i was surprised at how the crossovers stole from the system...

well...probably best to just let it go...and put the money towards another 400 or maybe that 700...

That crown amp under the dsp is powering the tweeters until I decide if I'm doing another 400 , WOPL of course!
