I'm soooo jealous!! Dang Lee and Jani, what a magical experience

I'm still setting up the playlist, this is just for at this moment in time, I'll start with 'Blinded by the Light' ~ Bruce Springsteen on CD "Magic", then on to 'God Particle' ~ Shpongle on CD, new belt for the Thorens just came today...so, on to 'M of C' ~ Shpongle on Lp...

Then for the peak of darkness, I'll have to time just right....The King of Pop MJ :king:'s 'Thriller' on Lp so that at the peak, Vincent Price will take center stage...

"That it's a thriller, thriller night
'Cause I can thrill you more than any ghost would dare to try
Girl, this is thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, diller

I'm gonna be tonight

[Vincent Price:]
Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'awl's neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

[Into maniacal laugh, in deep echo]"

I used to live near the tater tot plant and one day the grid went down and plunged everything but me and a couple neighbors into darkness for blocks around.

The plant was dead, the cold storage plant next door as well, no conveyors, no alarm whistles or horns...

DEAD QUIET.

I turned on the SX-525 and rocked. It was beautiful, and a disappointment when stuff came back on.

PS I fully expect smoke and afternoon storms to disappoint the foreigners supposedly renting out the park to watch.

A 1983 Sony Trinitron will suffice, and on top of that it may not even be on because the radio skip will be magical.

With all of those out-of-towners, things could turn ugly...

Not gonna make it. Had our trip put off for two weeks, got a dog and pony show for the Pine Haven Corporate suits, so now it's as shoes and elbows to make things pretty. New river departure date is the 29th.

I'm having an eclipse party with some young co-workers :hippy2:at casa de la stu, what should we play on the slabs?? ...
How about R.E.M. - It's the end of the world as we know it, followed by ZZ Top - the future's so bright I gotta wear shades.

Have a great party!

I hear that the Mayan's are getting restless.
If I was a bit younger, I would sacrifice a virgin or two myself.

I'm sorry to hear that, have you thought about renting out tent space in your back yard? You could get $100+ for the morning rental space....and....$300+ for bathroom and WOPL listening sessions :cheers::cheers::cheers:Blow some minds buddy!!!
