The Great American Eclipse 8/21/17

Local ISP is crashrd,b don't know why Verizon is still working...

USPS.com was up but tracking is down, Ray Combes hosting Family Feud on Buzzr.

The traveler's information AM network at 1605? is running eclipse information but you might as well get a UN translator?

SE HABLAR???

It's like they're using 10 year old NOAA Weather Radio stuff.

I've seen one picture from local TV but I'm not even bothering. I'll go out around noon to check the mail...if they are actually coming.

Dutch Bros. Coffee has recalled the glasses they gave for free, bring them back for a free coffee...

This is another reason...it's a freaking circus. We've already got one of those on TV every day.

Quit being a Debi -Downer shithead!! This is COOL!!!!

1/2!!!#

I'm not Debi. My name is Steven.

Debi left you years ago.

Anyway, it's over here.

The skip wasn't even very good, KFBK 1550 Sacramento and an expanded band station in/near Fresno. And lots of MINOR heterodyning.

I was on my Sansui the whole time and I have no TV in the bedroom at the moment.

People are already leaving the viewing spot at BSU and people in Weiser are trying to get out on the road early and beat traffic like it was a football game.

It's back to early morning light now. We didn't have totality here and it really didn't get too dark.

These are not pessimistic assessments, this is what I saw through my curtains and uncovered windows. SCIENCE!

Hey! Don Henley is on ACL! You guys have fun watching the skies. I've got some bike painting to do :)

I fell out of my chair, laughing at the Debbie Downer comment.

Nailed it !

I bought my wife a pair of the glasses at our county extension office for $1.00
I wonder how much I'll be able to get for them on Ebay?

No, I'm really glad you are into it, but it was rather nondescript here. I'm more bummed about the lack of skip. The partial eclipse we had about 10 years ago flooded the AM dial. I was in my car out near the edge of town in a parking lot and not even paying attention to the eclipse then, caught off guard.

Were you close to totality there??

Yep, I think 90 miles or so South of the 100% zone.
I used my auto dark welding helmet.

It was the first time I've seen so many women get excited over something that only lasted two minutes!

Marla just informed me, that we were in the 96% totality zone.
