I am burning CDs for backup of my files for just that reasoning.

I may also just ask to get three licenses for 7 instead.

It happened again in You Tube but I closed out all the tabs before it could completely fail.

I was on YT for well over 40 minutes watching ATC (air traffic control) videos and switched to music and that's when it happened.

now when I go through the IE drop down windows, right click or whatever I will find the About the HTML5 player or whatever so I'm under the impression that either the Microsoft Flash folder version is causing this problem in conflict with HYML5 of that some of the videos are still Flash content and that indeed, therein lies the overflow error.

The other problem is that I have to accept MICROSOFT'S INTEL DRIVERS IIRC and I may also have had HP monitoring software being freaked out. I closed that toolbar and intend to uninstall it.

But THAT wasn't there until this week when I installed it. There is no real difference in the problem as I can perceive it.

The biggest problem with backing up files I see is that I have almost SIX or SEVEN GIGABYTES of it and have to decide what is somewhere else and then to split it between discs and the memory stick. Guess what? It took ten minutes to free the DVD drive door on Valerie--again.

Good grief, either shut the computer down or use the manual eject by poking a safety pin in the little hole by the front tray. The drive then opens albeit the disc may still be spinning some.

Nothing in there.

Just wiped out the partitions on the HP and going for the clean install of 7...don't even care what I lost or what I have to do to get it right.

All the Christmas package files and music files I wanted are already here on Valerie and CD.

Felt adventurous. The worst that could happen is I install Linux.

I'm legit and fully updated AFAIK, went through the validation process...Alison is back to 7 Pro and she stays there. Time to install programs, bookmarks and files and is already installed and has scanned.

Now to put a real picture on the desktop.

My new win 10 install id sailing along just fine and it did activate just fine.

The old install was fraught with issues as listed below:

Cortana and Store did not work, finally got them working and photo and explorer developed issues.

Win Explorer would randomly close when clicking on external drives.

Computer could not recognize any digital cameras, you could put sd cards in card reader but then you were subject to explorer crashing

Upon boot the computer took awhile to connect to internet.

Start menu had a mind of it's own and would open when it wanted to, but could be stubborn and open and then close real quick.

Driver for sd cards would not run most of the time, when trying to update windows said the current driver is the most current.

Browser windows/tabs were acting strange.

I did check for for viruses and nothing, all the issues were fixed when doing a fresh install. and the fresh install took but a few minutes to do. I first backed up ll my emails and favorites and made a list of installed software.

No, I'm happy and I don't have to buy a new word processor program and can stick with the pretty old Photoshop I use, etc. As people keep saying, they fixed XP, it's called 7.

Victim of the record bug since age five
I was wondering why I was getting the option to update to 10 from 7- I thought it was only for those with 8! What the hell- I updated Win7/64 to Win10, everything went without issue, old programs still run, and was still a 64 bit update. I was willing to do the upgrade just to see Win10, and since I don't use the PC anyway, even if it was royally screwed up, I wouldn't have lost anything.

No surprises. It's still Windows. My PC is a doorstop anyway, and I do everything on an iMac. The odd thing now is that Macintosh is 10.11 (El Capitan), and I'm arguing more with the Mac update than I did with the Windows update- a strange reversal of the usual update routines.

Well after a few hours with a couple of people from Microsoft Support in India, I've gone from 7 to 10 on my secondary machine. Was told (twice) it was so screwed up it was time for a clean install. Took the opportunity to install onto a SSD and upgraded it. Now to reload all the required apps....
