The wires going between the amp and the light board only number 5. 2 from the transformer for 6 VAC feed to pads 14, 15. I wre from the left output on the backplane to pads 16. i wire from the right output on the right backplane to pad 1. And lastly one wire from pad4-5 to the star ground.

Perry the 6VAC feed comes from the barrier strip that mounts on the transformer side chassis wall. These may have been clipped off. Look for remnants of the original wires, there may be evidence of these still there.

Thank you Lee. That's what I was looking for. The guys upgrading got it easy. Building from a transformer and a couple screws is tough. I guess I need to also look at what they were doing on the original schematic and try to deduce what is going on with the WO schematic and try not to blow shit up.

Actually with no meter range switch the light board hookup is quite easy..

The wiring for those is installed by you, and would be in a conversion also, since the AC IN run is completely rerouted, helps the noise floor.

Joe's instructions are packed full of information and if you translate well from Joe speak you're golden. His instructions are top notch but you are working at a great disadvantage with the missing hardware in the amps you're using - butt you're doing a fantastic job.

I guess I will take the blame again on this, I just assumed you were ordering the new light kits from Joe so I tossed the old light board shit. So much for saving weight, it just causes hassles but these amps are pretty much so cobbed together that I figured nothing in them is really usable. There is not any meter attenuator hooked up on any of these that I see, just fuses and two gain knobs on the faceplates

It's OK Ron, we'll get through this build yet. There was a lot of burnt up wiring and stuff where it would not have mattered whether the light boards were there or not. Hang with me.....

Well, in the flamer at least there was not enough left of the light board anyway, it was melted which is why you saw the black on the back of the meter housings. I am pretty sure the meters are good though

I gutted my latest 400 and it sits waiting to get done. I try to imagine myself in your shoes just starting with a empty chassis and looking at it and saying "where do I start?"

Then again, there is no way I would attempt one of these anyway. My eyes suck, I have no soldering equipment that would do this stuff. I could not even do a decent solder job on the Polk binding posts in the KP-250s. I leave this stuff to the people who know what they are doing

Did you identify the 6 volt secondary windings?

I see the secondary windings but I don't yet know which are which. I'll look at the other transformer and see if I can still ID the wire colors. That one I believe, still has a bit of wire hooked to it.

Is the terminal strip still on the left side of the chassis by the transformer?
