Well, in the flamer at least there was not enough left of the light board anyway, it was melted which is why you saw the black on the back of the meter housings. I am pretty sure the meters are good though
I gutted my latest 400 and it sits waiting to get done. I try to imagine myself in your shoes just starting with a empty chassis and looking at it and saying "where do I start?"
Then again, there is no way I would attempt one of these anyway. My eyes suck, I have no soldering equipment that would do this stuff. I could not even do a decent solder job on the Polk binding posts in the KP-250s. I leave this stuff to the people who know what they are doing
