I Think It Was Ordained
My local record shop owner relocated to his cousin's bookstore in a trendy urban shopping area after a fire last year, making it much harder for me to get to than just walking down the street from campus which was my usual. But I got a bee up my ass yesterday and drove down there to see what was new. As luck would have it, the only parking place within two miles was right in front of the bookstore.
It was a good omen.
Three rarities, all in mint condition:
The Canned Heat is an Italian remaster, unopened until this morning, the Commander Cody is a great live recording by Wally Heider Studios mobile truck from the Armadillo in Austin, TX in 1973 and is much, much better sonically than any of their studio stuff and it is in mint condition, and finally, Roy Buchanan's Hot Wires which is also in mint condition. Amazing music on all three. A nice way to spend the morning...
