I have a Teac A-800,Tascam122,Tascam122MarkIII,Tascam112MarkII all Cassette Decks Plus one Sony 288 8Track Player.And a Nakamichi Dragon bought in the '80s and still going strong without any service.I think it's time for service...maybe? BTW if you think the shelf on my decks in the icon is tilted .....it is! One day if they don't fall I'll get around to fixing it.

Over the past couple of years I have downsized my Pioneer collection. It got out of hand. I still have a Pioneer office system consisting of just two pieces. My SX-1080 was rebuilt about two years ago as was a 1011L that I use.

My main listening area consist of all Sony with a couple of odd pieces thrown in.

R2R's: Sony TC-755, 756. 758. 765, 766-2.
Cassettes: Sony TC-K96R, K7II
Receiver: GX9ES
CD Player(s): CDP-C69ES, C15ESD, C801ES
EQ: SEQ400
Timer: PT-59

Great lookin' deck, Nando! I was hoping to pick one of these up as I periodically seem them for sale on our local CL. Any major bugs or things to look out for?

The toggle switches to operate the tape control functions need the usual cleaning, and the powered cassette door can be problematic. I bought mine for $15 a number of years ago. I wouldn't be spending more than $40 for a good working one.

Rust never sleeps... right Nick. I think there would be more value for this type of deck with a full-on matching Marantz system of the same style. It would look good in a rack.

Does it have a rotating head for auto reverse?
Is there a random/shuffle function?

Would be great to throw in 7 tapes and just let it run during the day?

I had one in the past and the answer to all your questions is yes. I currently have a Pioneer 6 Cassette deck and it does the same things only it doesn't have the dubbing capability of the seven cassette beast. I got the 6 cassette deck from Larry in our holiday gift exchange a few years back.

Nando, this pic you posted piqued my interest in the multi- tape player and I started making some calls. I think I may have a Pioneer CT WM70R coming later this week if the price is right.... No remote, but that's no biggie to me.
