Enjoying the new Model One today, playing some Jazz favorites:
This amplifier is simply amazing. The more I listen to it, the more I hear. I mentioned in my other post on building the Model One, how compared to my WOPL’d 700b’s, the Model One has such clarity, brilliance, presence, and a depth to the soundstage (the imaging that I spoke of)
These two albums just come to life ! ...... Literally.
Bass is definitely more powerful as well.

Sonny Rollins / Teddy Edwards with Joe Castro
At Music Inn / At Falcon’s Fair
Metro-Jazz E1011
Original First Pressing

Released in Jan 1960 / Recorded in 1958

Donald Byrd – Slow Drag
Blue Note – BST 84292

I can't say enough about the quality of the Model One.
I have had absolutely zero issues with it since building it.
I was impressed with the design before I built it, and now I am blown away by how incredible it is.
I look forward to listening every day, simply a pleasure, hearing the music as it was recorded, and intended to be heard.
Definitely puts a smile on my face every day :D............and I have been listening to the fully WOPL'd 700b's that I built for years !

Halfbiass...Electron Herder and Backass Woof
I let the "pair-o-Ones" stretch their legs last night on a lot of Alan Parsons.
The kinda setup I have now really compliments Alans well mixed and engineered stuff....
" Try Anything Once " was especially mesmerizing....
Still in awe of the whole idea of fhe Model Ones...you did incredible work Joe, and everyone who sees them here are suitably amazed.

Home today.. Jan's birthday.
