what are you listening to?

today's CD offerings

The Sundays - Blind
The Smashing Pumpkins - Machina / The Machines Of God
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense: Special New Edition
The Smiths - Louder Than Bombs

For starters this evening, I drafted in some random selects from my Classics playlist. First five out of the gate;

Bread - Mother Freedom
Loggins & Messina - Angry Eyes
Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen - Hot Rod Lincoln
David Essex - Rock On
Traffic - Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys

I will leave this one for the evening. Back in the day when FM radio was good, our local station (KMAC/KISS) had Joe Antony and Lou Roney laying down the rock tracks. They broke several bands into mainstream and Joe was pronounced the "God Father of Rock". https://www.joeanthonyproject.com/

This was a regular Friday night banger - Nazareth-Miss Misery

That makes it 70-71 his years at KLOS. Did other stations and lots of celebrity interviews. Wiki says he lived next to Timothy Leary. Wonder how that helped shape your music direction, through Elliot?

Loaded this up today

Talk Talk - The Colour Of Spring
Tears For Fears - The Seeds Of Love
Talking Heads - Naked
Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden
Telefon Tel Aviv - Immolate Yourself

Camel on The Old Grey Whistle Test, BBC, 1975.
Been watching other clips of theirs as well.
A good band I've never listened to.

Welcome to Camel, George. I imagine you've listened to Miles' rendering of The Slow Goose, already?

Nando.
