Pro ball lost it's soul after the Bird/Magic era. I can still remember the Jerry West days, the great Boston teams, There may be better PLAYERS now, but not better TEAMS....San Antonio came close though....
College is still the most exciting game around though, and March is my favorite time of year. We are usually coming out of deep freeze here and the B Ball action warms up...
Same here. I remember the 1970 NY Knicks team (team ball, hit the open man) when they beat Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain & the Lakers. Still remember watching that 7th game when Willis Reed came back on the court from an injury to play basically on one leg.

Portland won a championship in the 70's with a team like the Knicks - steals, passing, run teams off the court.
Yeah College ball especially March madness is still fun with games decided a lot with team play which doesn't seem to exist much in the NBA (haven't watched that Golden State team though - sounds like they are pretty good this year).
