w/ Klaus Voorman - playing that rumbling bass at the start of You're So Vain. I think the only time we hear James Taylor on the record is during one of the final chorus of Waited So Long, when Carly sings "Daddy, I'm No Virgin" - we hear Taylor chime in - "She's No Virgin" :) ahem Happy Valentines Day.

Albert Collins/Robert Cray/Johnny Copeland - Showdown!

Listening to the Kansas Brass Quintet, "Rare Breeds and Dog Eared Classics." It includes a piece called "Blight of the Fumble Bee." I'm guessing they are fans of PDQ Bach.

interesting progressive folk with electric violin, viola, theremin. gatefold cover and a cool looking cloud label which I see is also on their '73 release Spring Suite.

Gatefold cover art work by Roger Dean. More interesting electric violin/viola, arp and moog sounds from Dr. Michael Dreyfuss.

Adele at the Grammys, and if the Super Bowl audio was bad this was a medium fender bender.

w/ Bill Frisell, John Scofield.

just finished watching the 2nd half of the North Carolina - Duke basketball game didn't have a stake in the outcome but wow that is some great college hoops between the two crosstown rivals - March madness is just around the corner!

Amen SLF, great game.....college hoops is a game of runs and momentum, and how to stop those two things. One of the best games on earth...

So true Lee - probably the greatest team sport out there.

The NBA used to be a great team sport, until it seems like it mostly turned into a individual highlight reel for the world's best athletes. - although my perspective might be a little less than objective - still grumpy about losing the Supersonics here.

Pro ball lost it's soul after the Bird/Magic era. I can still remember the Jerry West days, the great Boston teams, There may be better PLAYERS now, but not better TEAMS....San Antonio came close though....

College is still the most exciting game around though, and March is my favorite time of year. We are usually coming out of deep freeze here and the B Ball action warms up...
