The worst of the fires were at Dunalley on the south east coast 150Klms away from where we
are in the North. Terrible fires with a lot of peoples homes destroyed. I'm surprised it made news
in the states, but then the media being what it is :)

The first reports I heard was that there were 80 people dead
Then it was revised to 80 people missing
it's now being revised to someone lost their dog and their budgie and one of the local
kids burnt himself with a cigarette lighter.
And people wonder why I don't take any notice of what's in the media. I have not brought
a newspaper for 15 years, the reason being it is all a load of made up shit. When the truth
is revealed, then the paper prints a retraction in very small fine print in the bottom corner of
page 76, just after the for sale adds if your lucky. And that is only if the truth ever comes out.

Media ethics = Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Graham, the reason your bushfires make the news here is partly because of the loss and probably because of the global warming angle.

However, while your arses char ours are deep in snow.

So while you don't believe your newspapers, I don't believe the 'New Science' crap.

They showed a family in water hanging onto a jetty. The smoke was so bad. They were starting to not be able to breath. Then they saw a boat and they all went to a little island. Someone was watching out for them. They said it was really bad sitting there watching their home bur down and not be able to do anything

Don't get me wrong these fires are a tragic event and will affect many people for many years to come. I feel for the people that have lost their homes. I cannot imagine how I would feel if my stuff got wrecked like that.

What I was trying to say is I just hate the way the media make a total meal of events like this. The bloody bloodsuckers just sit back and wait for any sort of personal tragedy to occur so they can sensationalize it to their greatest gain at the expense of the poor barsteds that are actually suffering the loss. These C**ts make me sick. I had an accident years ago that had some controversial elements regarding emergency services. I had a slut from one of those shitfull national current affairs tv type programs badger me for an interview. (While I was in hospital with multiple fractures and I had just lost my partner) These same arsholes interviewed some close family friends of mine and aired it on their program. Made them look like dickheads with absolutely no regards for their feelings. I told them in no uncertain terms to F**k Off.
