I brought half a truckload (I kid you not) of used reel to reel tapes from a deceased estate. There was 175kg of tapes, 14 cartons, in both 1/4" and 1/2" and its all mostly Agfa, BASF, EMItape, NO AMPEX. I was going through a box of BASF SPR 50 LH and found 2 x ABC master tapes from 1976 of an Australian Jazz artist Paula Langlands. This lady now runs a Jazz program on FM radio in Sydney and she is also a voice teacher and promoter, She's not Patricia Barber but the music is not too bad. The two reels are 15ips IEC and were done on a Studer. Sound quality is very good. Hope I find a few more gems like this as I make my way through these tapes.

I think we'd all like to hear some of her and others...can you make a few tapes (or even CDs, as evil as that could be) for us to pass around and copy?

Don't get me wrong these fires are a tragic event and will affect many people for many years to come. I feel for the people that have lost their homes. I cannot imagine how I would feel if my stuff got wrecked like that.

What I was trying to say is I just hate the way the media make a total meal of events like this. The bloody bloodsuckers just sit back and wait for any sort of personal tragedy to occur so they can sensationalize it to their greatest gain at the expense of the poor barsteds that are actually suffering the loss. These C**ts make me sick. I had an accident years ago that had some controversial elements regarding emergency services. I had a slut from one of those shitfull national current affairs tv type programs badger me for an interview. (While I was in hospital with multiple fractures and I had just lost my partner) These same arsholes interviewed some close family friends of mine and aired it on their program. Made them look like dickheads with absolutely no regards for their feelings. I told them in no uncertain terms to F**k Off.
No different here.
