Scan of the album in my collection. I acquired this record back when it was issued. At the time I was in New Orleans and bought it at the Mushroom on the Tulane campus. There was nothing sexualized in this cover in the day. That is today. Sad.
First time I saw that cover, I thought, a hood ornament off a old car, then, there's got to be a bolt boss under the nose of that thing, it's gonna hurt. It's always been a very sexually provocative album cover to me. The other thing that always bothered me was she looked so young. Now we know she was. I'm not passing judgement, just saying, it's probably one of the most interesting album covers of all time. I'd hang a print of it on the wall as I do admire it as art, but the wife and other members of the extended family would find issue with it.

I too purchased this album when it came out, in 1969 and have always been a fan of anything that Stevie Winwood has done, (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith, Solo work). The photo was taken by Bob Seidemann, who has many "provocative" album covers, but always creative photography. We were not offended by it in any way, we concentrated on the genius within created by Winwood, Clapton, Grech, and Baker. It is still today, one of my favorite albums, for the talent within. Traffic, before they were Traffic, the evolution is a part of my lifetime. Listen to the album, and enjoy the history. Take a look at Seidemann's work, and the bands that he worked with. For those of us who lived during this time, the album speaks for itself.
It was a very different time, and many albums were marketed with covers to get our attention (Beatles Butcher Album etc.) but the genius was within.
Listen to the music, it speaks for itself. Very different time, political unrest, height of the war in Vietnam, racial protest. It got our attention then, and apparently still does.

Realistically, when is the last time you pushed an amplifier to over 50 watts per channel?
Just the other day when that wax burning smell was in the living room. Indications I was pushing the DQ-10s with the POS-2400 Denon some here don't like. Seemed to sound good.

Would have used it today but I had major auxilary gear malfunctions similar to NeverSatisfied and moved back to the regular main rig. Can't use much more than 50 watts with that system since the tube amps have a 50 wpc output. Subs add another buckandahalf but don't know how much of that we used. Hope the phono hum is out of that system.

Love the name of the group (duo), Was thinking about playing B.P. Empire when bro and sil were here but went with Jackson Browne instead. I don't think they would have liked IM as much as I do. The JB was a hit.

One of the things I like about the guys dropping by on a weekend day for tunes is they bring records and Mark is ok using my table. Others seem less inclined to because the tonearm is a unipivot, the cartridge isn't cheap and I like it when the muting switch is used so no one hears any miscue issues. Mark is just now getting properly trained, been a couple years. But he wasn't here today so not much rock and roll.

The records today were in no particular order were Fleet Foxes, Orc-Oh Sees, Cream-Disraeli Gears, Buffalo Springfield, The Budos Band, The Rippingtons, Robert Cray, The Rascals, Robert Plant, Ray Lynch and a few others. From three different folks' collections.

Mostly records but the last 5 were in the CD changer (yes, I'm going through my collection in alphabetic order) and I put these on at times and when things were winding down and I had a speaker repair job to do for Dave before he left...since he brought the speakers over.
