Could you take a close up picture of the rca inputs and the driver board connections?

OK, I see no ground wire fromn the WO board to star ground. Would you please BLEED the Power Supply caps down, and leave the amp unplugged and remove the board and fold it out so you can take a pic of the bottom of the board??

Here are the two first pics (with the strap between the copper bus and the negative to speakers removed), sorry for the bad exposure... How am I supposed to bleed the caps? I eared noise through the peakers for some seconds after having shut down the amp. Do you think I can consider them empty now?

You are going to need to run a wire from the left hand #5 pad on the WO board to the star ground point....that being the copper bar between the two big caps....

The WO board WAS grounded by the white wire going from the right hand #5 pad to the copper ground plane on the RCA inputs to the negative speaker posts. After cutting the bare wire going to the Negative speaker posts we now have to get the WO board grounded from the left #5 solder pad to the star ground point....

Well ok... btw, I'm not ssure that I understood you well when you told me to "make sure the shield of the input wires IS NOT TIED TO GROUND ON THE WO BOARD AT #2"...?

After seeing your close up pics there is no shield on your input wires so disregard that idea....

If you didn't touch anything when you cut the wire and nothing sparked, then no, you did not hurt anything.....IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION ABOUT VOLTAGE IN THE BIG CAPS TAKE YOUR METER AND MEASURE THE VOLTAGE ACCROSS THEM!!!

The energy left in them , even after being unplugged for awhile is enough to cause BIG PROBLEMS!!

Ok, the caps are empty, the solder iron is almost hot, I'm just trying to figure if there is a prefered route for the wire and if you can recommend a section...?

You want to solder from the TRACE side of the board, then go along the bottom of the chassis to the copper bus bar between the PS caps.....

ok, I wired as you told me to. Do you think that I can safely power it up again? OR is there anything I am supposed to check still?

Pre amp on first if the speakers are still wired up. The routing of the unshielded input wires coming from the RCA jacks should be run along the bottom of the chassis then at right angles up to the board. I've noticed they are laying right on top of the bus bars for the output transistors...Unplug the TV cable box if there is one in the house. Also, do you have light dimmers anywhere??

ok, I'll move the input wires as you propose and start the preamp first.
I've no cable box (TV on IP here) and no light dimmer anywhere...
I cross my fingers...
