I guarantee you'll be selling the Brystons. Waiting n DC protect. Changed suppliers, Ampslabs quality was startging to suck. Don Imlay(wattsabundant) has some pretty good ones, just had to wait a wee bit longer.
The 2 i got in California sale was a no bidder auction on e-bay, the deal killer was pick-up-only, 1400 for a 4000-, 2-700's, an Akai GX-646, Marantz 2100 tuner, Pioneer PL45 D turntable, DBX 200, DBX 120, SAE 180 EQ, And a Koss time delay system with speakers.
I like to buy in bulk, too, but, even, that's bigger than I would have imagined, Lee. Some people pay $1400 in cabling, alone.

Nando.
I represent that remark. LOL

;) Nando's aim is true   with a zinger  , what a killer score Lee!! I'm not a big fan of DBX stuff, but you could always flip them for some $$'s, That SAE is fun to play with, get a long IC and put in your lap in the listening chair and play recording studio soundboard dude :ugeek: . Sometimes if I'm baked enough, I'll do that with mine, you can get some really cool effects with it

So, we still need two knobs and one meter for her? I don't know if there is any finding a meter, but isn't here someone on the board who can make the knobs? I really would like to keep her as stock as possible to match the other one I hope to be headed your way sometime soon. Surely someone will be selling one on eBay sometime which is just a face with meters, but who knows...I haven't seen many people parting out Phase Linears...

The front panel doesn't even look like the same one you started with. Great Job, Jani. I got so excited, I rode off into the land of meters and knobs without commenting on how much better the face looks. Sorry.....

Great Job Jani....and THANK YOU........

There are some PL 700B rack handles on the Bay for 20 bucks, but they are pretty beat up looking. I think the ones you have are probably better looking....

So about the only thing we need is NOTHING....yea...........

Got the DC protects in today from our own d3imlay (wattsabundant), also known as Don Imlay. He designed and manufactures these and he has a different approach. These mount to backside of the speaker binding postsd.

They go inside the chassis, right? I remember, back in the 70's I finally ended up putting a fuse in my speaker wires, and it did save my speakers from that point. I didn't blow a speaker again after putting a fuse inline. I did blow the Phase Linear 400 a few more times though. I think it may have had something to do with my speakers which were Watkins WS-1...built in Kingsport, TN..Mr. Watkins had invented the dual coil voice coil..It was said that the impedence was all over the place in these speakers, and he later sold the patent to Infinity, if memory serves me correctly. He should have taken a percentage of sales or a license fee instead of selling the patent...but oh well...they could make some bass for the mid 70's...

The eBay PL 700B should be on its' way to you Lee. I talked to the Seller yesterday, and it should go out today. You should receive it late next week, like Thursday or so. I hope you have all the stuf for her. I'm 3/4 of the way there and now only need to find a 400 which is affordable. I am about to go through sympathetic withdrawl, not even having a Phase yet to pump up the jam...It won't be as long as it has been though. It takes time to do these right.....It takes time to do these right, It takes time to do these right....

After the discovery of Joe's PCB, I'm afraid you won't be able to buy a Phase Linear amp. I'll bet they are going to double in price. Maybe I should be figureing out how to buy all that I can, as an investment, like I did with the Fisher 400. Bought the 5 I have before EV started producing the 7868 tube. Used to be able to get them for $100, now they go for around $300.00.

I am anxious, as you can tell, but I know good stuff comes to those who wait. Plus you are the greatest guy in America for doing this for me. I sincerely appreciate this. VERY MUCH

It may be a week or 10 days before Joe has any new light boards for the 700's. Did you want white or blue LED's??
