Jerry I sent resistors. They won't work huh? Tell me where and a PN and I'll get them. I have to look through all my email to find the directions.

I did get a stable 30.56 volts with an 8 ohm load at 3, 567 hz. didn't last long and had to be on the sig generator output to keep it there. I think I'll bypass the input buffer and try again.

Power= voltssquared/ resistance
Power= 30.56x30.56=933.31/8= 116.74 watts.

Well, that ain't gonna cut it! Need more power :laughing8: lot's more power :laughing8: :laughing4: :laughing8:

Have you emailed Mark to see what might need to be done? Or has he already made suggestions, and I missed that part?

You have been asleep Stuwee. There are suggestions; but I really don't think they will fix what is going on. Will see what is going on by the end of the week.

Alrighty then, I can wait. I'd rather have them worked over with Lee's magic hands properly, than have a pair of fried, smoking, spitting sparks ML's.

Got another guy on it Stu, gonna be way better than the original concept.

Yeah, that and buck will get you a cup of coffee!!!!

Now that I can handle, we'll sit on the daughters porch, in my shorts and t-shirt knocking back some crown and cokes in the dead of winter while my kids freeze their ass off keepig us in coin. I like that idea!!

Yep, one of those Titanium coated from Lenox. bastids are SHARPPPP.

Jer , it looks like the whole input buffer board is going. I'm gonna bypass it all together and go to the amp board. the gain problem is originating there, so it goes. New RCA, 2" shielded and Voila!
Joe's gonna go over it also and may recommend power supply replacement, so we are on hold for a week.

Guys I looked inside I couldn't even read the numbers. I Knew I was going to have to get one of those lighted magnifiers. Must be the age thing.
