Stuwee, we will bypass the input buffer on your pair(of amps) today and see what happens.

Jer, did you get the 2 Larry sent??
Yep. That what I was working on last night. So you're saying that you'll bypass the entire buffer circuit and hook the RCA straight into the amp board, right? What (just wondering) is the reason to do that? Did you do the "fix" first and then it didn't work? (where'd ya get the 100 ohm SMD's if so).

What'll be needed to change out on the amp board to support a direct input?

Joe is an industrial servo amp designer by trade, flys all over the country solving amp type problems. You don't fly people from Massachusetts to Washington state for coffee. Wait till you see his new PL14A/B- 20 replacement PCB's...........a thing of beauty.

Jer, the 100 ohm ers were going on the Tl-072 board. it has been decided thats where the gain problem originates. we are bypassing the whole board. Input coupling caps are C1,2, 16, 17 on the amp board. We will upgrade those with <http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Xicon/1429-1474/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvCt%252bwg%252braTugJwlx7%2fZmI%2ffq8QOee60ww%3d>

PS, if you don't want to install new rca's go from + pad on c49 on the opamp board to the R1 pad on the amp board from the + on the c52 pad on the opamp board to R5 on the amp board.

So are you waiting for parts, time, more testin'?

No Jer, that cap link was for an UPGRADE, NOT an essential swap. Get after it.
