Funny sumbitch ain't he??
Yep, Joe made my sigline again with that one
You're still awfully quiet Dennis....

So, we have achieved a max out at 4 ohms reading on a stock 700B. Only took 120 posts, and 4 hours.....jeez...
774 watts, not bad...might even wake up the dead...
Gibsonian has been looking for this little tidbit for awhile...774 Scott....

well ateast in 120 post we achieved something.there built like a tank and loud![]()
Yes and exposed some ignorance........mine..... live and learn and when staring at the ohms law wheel BELIEVE what it's telling you.....forest for the trees thing....
let me see...Rule #1---check your test equipment...Rule #2...refer to Rule #1...

BTW, the AP does roll over to KILLOWATTS, when you hit 1,000 watts, now that was the first time I've seen that figure, had to clip it terribly to get there, but it went.....
You're still awfully quiet Dennis....
I bet the Naughty Nurse is somehow involved![]()

Controlling PS voltage sag would go a long ways in the watts out department, while also running up against SOA... just don't get something for nothing...jeez....physics works....
I was out with the horses tending to one with a summer sore - unfortunately no nurse to help. I arrived home after midnight and the wife was using my computer so I watched a bit of TV - don't do that often anymore. Looks like some good numbers for a maximum output after rule number one was applied.Did you test this at more than one frequency?
It will be interesting to see how the frequency response improves at the low end with the upgrades.
This is a beautiful specimen of a 700B - with the mods this will be a kick ass amp.
Look at Joe's profile, him and Figaro ...
