So, we have achieved a max out at 4 ohms reading on a stock 700B. Only took 120 posts, and 4 hours.....jeez...

774 watts, not bad...might even wake up the dead...

Gibsonian has been looking for this little tidbit for awhile...774 Scott....

Changing the load impedence for power calculations was ridiculously easy...once I got on the right page...

With the load impedence set on the AP to 4 ohms AND the load cell set on 4 ohms, it clips at 55 volts, and 770 watts....and into 8 ohms load impedence on the AP AND the load cell set to 8 ohms....clips at 63 volts and 505 watts....

BTW, the AP does roll over to KILLOWATTS, when you hit 1,000 watts, now that was the first time I've seen that figure, had to clip it terribly to get there, but it went.....

Obviously it was extremely clipping but you had it pushing over 1000 watts at 4ohm?? OMFG

You're still awfully quiet Dennis....
I was out with the horses tending to one with a summer sore - unfortunately no nurse to help. I arrived home after midnight and the wife was using my computer so I watched a bit of TV - don't do that often anymore. Looks like some good numbers for a maximum output after rule number one was applied. Did you test this at more than one frequency?

It will be interesting to see how the frequency response improves at the low end with the upgrades.

This is a beautiful specimen of a 700B - with the mods this will be a kick ass amp.
