Rek O Kut B-16H Disassembly for resto

Perry,
Do you have the original console cabinet for the Rek-O-Kut too? I see you mentioned painting it above. Those are really getting hard to find.
Your table is gorgeous but with the original cabinet, that really puts it over the top. Is that the "battleship gray" cabinet?

HELL YEAH, I got the original C-7B cabinet in nice shape.

It's the only one I have ever seen. I think because they were big and clunky and everybody want's a real fake granite plinth, they got chucked in the dumpster.

It was a $130 upgrade inn 1952

Using my Navy Math, that's like 2.5 Million dollars in todays money (or was that Peso's)

Yep, that's the one..........Wow that is a huge score. Can't wait to see the whole unit finished and assembled!
Incredible!

I got an offer on the TT but the guy wanted me to keep the cabinet. I really didn't want to split them up. Of the 4 or 5 rebuilds I researched, none of them had the cabinet. I don't care if I have to deliver it all in one piece, it WILL stay as one unit.

That's the way it should be. You would be hard pressed to find another setup that nice!

Looks like I got a "Kitchen Pass" this weekend. The Grandson was going to come for the weekend while they were hanging new cabinets at the kids house but he's got a 103 temp so Sher is going over there to help with him. So, I get to work in the shop. I think I'll set up the airbrush and spray my test panel, and if all is good, get a couple coats on the tonearm. I also received the new motor mounts so I'll try to get them installed. Then it's the waiting game for the idler wheels.

Damn airbrush spit just when I was least expecting. Setting it down and coming back for the second coat will fuck you every time. A rattle can of Satin (Satan) Clear should cover it. I even sprayed my panel first to ENSURE that didn't happen.

Got the arm painted and cleared, it's drying. Looks pretty good. I'll post a pic later. Now if I can keep from marring it until its cured, I'll be good to go. I also received my new cart from Glen. It's a Pickering XSV5000. Looks great.

I just bought one of these for my Stanton 500 cart (Pickering V15) gonna try on my Pickering arm and see if it plays nice before burning $100 on a fancy line contact diamond.

Trying to figure out if the V-15 AT2 and the XSV 5000 (same mount) have a common stylus (with brush) that are swappable between. It's nice to have 2 carts that take the same Stylus. They look the same, I'll go down and see if they are swappable.

Got it on order. I bought one already built. It was a little more expensive but they do killer work. No ground for the arm but I'll add that.
