PL400 Build help

Question for Joe concerning impedance. I and going out of my audio interface straight to the PL400. Should I be concerned about the output being +4 low impedance connecting to the PL400 -10 high impedance?

I noticed when testing the amp, with my -10 gear that it sounded a bit better, had more depth and punch than when I use it with my audio interface, or am I crazy?
I have no clue what your audio interface that you are referring to is...

I am using an Antelope Orion Studio. But I think the general question is about all audio interfaces. The standard is +4DBu at 600ohms.

My concern is that I’m not going the traditional hifi route and instead using an audio interface as my preamp.

Is this all making sense?

The input impedance of the amp is 49K ohms so any low impedance source should be more than capable of driving it. My preamp has an output impedance of 50 ohms driving into my amp.
