I did the test of the semi-gloss clear last week but I didn’t get it applied.

So, we have semi-gloss:

I’m leaning toward semi-gloss but since it’s not done yet, we can take a vote. Lemme know.

If you look at the second picture, you can still see some of the original clear on the black top vents. It is at least semi-gloss; possibly higher gloss.

I'd say it's between the two options I show. I'll probably just go with the semi-gloss (which I think they call "matte") and be done with it.

Nope- it's called "Satin Crystal Clear" and I have tested it and found it to have very high clarity- many of the clears that are not "high gloss" have some sort of opaque dulling additive. Sprayed onto welding glass, you can see the "whiteness" of the clear. This is actually clear. I got it to take the gloss off a watch dial, without "clouding" the black color of the dial.

I had intended to shoot it before I left but didn’t get to it.

But the Micro is alive again, so only a total refinish of the wood to do and I can start putting it back together.
