Although it's not patched into my system, yet, here are pictures of my Pioneer PL-630. I have to decide how to juggle some components to make room for the PL-630, and my newly acquired Pioneer RG-9 Dynamic Processor sent to me by fellow Pioneer enthusiast and all around good guy, Lee.

Much nicer than I initially thought. I didn't spend much time looking it over, because once I picked it up at the auction site, I made a bee-line over to Innovative Audio to drop it off for a tune-up. I hope she plays as well as it looks!

At today's Innovative Audio Vintage Audio and Record Garage Sale I missed out on a Pioneer SA-9900 by less than a half hour.

It's nestled in there with some other gear the fellow stacked up. I congratulated him for scoring it at less than $100. I wouldn't have it sitting unprotected on the asphalt, though. Cripes!

Nando, I've got a brand new Stanton V15 cart and needle...good grief!

That is what I am apparently saving it for...just not at 66 rpm

I have a 610 with a bad servo control...Pickering and Stanton=same company and his cart is very similar to my brand new in box Stanton, IAVS didn't pan out.

At least I have an Idea of what to put on mine when it eventually works right.

No counterweight either. Almost any part I needed showed up on eBay around 2 weeks ago but I missed the servo by a day.

For 5 dollars I'll wait until Popsicles go to hell anyway.

Hi Steven,

I didn't know the Stanton and Pickering cartridges were that similar. And you have an NOS Stanton? The Shure M97XE is another good cartridge I wouldn't mind trying. IA has an NOS one, but outside of my budget.

It's hard to read the meter but it's pinned and the platter is spinning around at least 2X line voltage (120+ rpm).

I have an SL-1300 that won't be hard to fix (w/o the return) and that was the Technics I always wanted, this one was the Pioneer I'd never seem,

I've got at least six stereo phonos, an RCA Victor stereophonic New Orthophonic portable (not working) and a mono Silvertone and a big RCA Victor 7 HF 45 stereo-convertable phono console, I probably have some to give?

PS-This guy does tend to price high but he has good service and I got a grab bag of several Teac parts I needed badly for my 2340 and he has neat parts.

Man, I wish I'd known about your counter weight for the arm issue, I just junked one in the trash 2 weeks ago, I got tired of stubbing my toe on the TT being on the floor and chucked it to the curb
