I have been using my Pioneer RT-909, during the time my RT-707 was being repaired. I bought both R2Rs from the same seller, Robert, who I befriended a few years back. In Robert's lifetime (he's a few years younger than me) he has had more unique and countless components than I could recollect. He is a big Beatles fan, and has some great memorabilia. Considering what either of these vintage Pioneers sell for today, I'm very appreciative of owning them.

I love the lower profile look of the RT-707, but the traditional fluoroscan display and capability of running 10.5" reels on the 909 is a big draw.

Great looking deck Nando. :thumbright: I had a pair of 909's but sold them in the mid 90's along with about 300 10.5inch tapes.

Thanks guys! Web: too bad about selling those RT-909s and the tapes. But, you sure have the monoply on great cassette decks!

Lee knows of my particular interest in Spec gear and silver-faced Pioneer components and arranged for me to have my first silver equalizer, a Pioneer SG-9500. He went the extra step, and gave it some minor servicing to ensure a long life, before sending it to me. Much appreciated, and I love using it as part of my current system.

Great looking EQ Nando. I love the photography too. :thumbright:

I had divested myself of my cassette decks and tapes in the late 90's as well. Wouldn't you know as soon as I was done selling everything the bug bit me again. :cyclops:

Thanks, Web. Nothing special done with taking these pictures, as I use the "Simpleton Setting", and haven't tried anything different. But, I know this camera is capable of more, as my son can take better pictures with my camera than I can.

Did I miss anything, but I don't see any 8-track machines hiding under any of those flannel covers, at your place?

Nope no 8-track machines lol. I keep the towels over the gear not in use to keep the dust off of them. You might recognize a few pieces in my main system. I have been using the tube amp and cd player the most lately. I still have to find a home for the cd player but for now it rests on top of one of my definitive tech speakers.

The big screen projection tv is on the lower level. This 36 inch tube tv just wont die.

Hi Web,

Yes, I, certainly, do recognize those Pioneer Elite pieces. It's nice to see you held onto a few components of your Elite collection. I won't part with any of my Elite series pieces. I have a line on a Pioneer VSX-29TX Elite receiver, but it doesn't come with the special touch screen remote control. And the rc, currently, sells for more than I would be paying for the receiver. Any chance you have an extra door for your Elite M-90 amplifier? My door has a right hinge which has a small piece of the latch broken off.

Yes, a regular chip off the old laatsch.

Nando.
Or he's just one laatsch off :sex: ?

You two should get a room :laughing8: :love6: :laughing8:
Don't be so hard on him, stuwee. When he was growing up, Lee was quite independent as a laatsch-key kid.

You mean a SarahBug hinge? :cyclops:

Nope sorry no extra hinges or latches. I do know from ebay that this is a problem on quite a few of them.
