Stuwee, whats your preference, a PL400 or PL2000??

You mean if i win? Hmmm, I love big meters and I have too manys amps now (thinking hard about the X-amp monos), so the PL2000 would be my choice if I hit 1,000 first, I hope it has a great phono section, since that's what I care about most

Just so happens I bought some "Brown Dog" adapters with some Burr-Brown OPA2134PA op amps mounted up already. I'm thinking it will work wonders for the phono section. I'd throw in a Pl 1000 also, if you feel the need.

I'm getting closer to having some PCB's for my 400 watt L-Mosfet mono's. Then it'll be traveling amp time.

Awesome! I wish I was as knowledgable as you with these things, I'd apply for a job at Burr-Brown, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burr-Brown_Corporation since they're right in my back yard! Maybe they need a shop boy ? And I could learn as I sweep the floors?

I noticed the PL2000 has dual outputs, L & R, and LR & RR, is that for dual amps with a crossover connected? What is the LR & RR for?

If the PL1000 is a cool piece of kit, I'll take it too!

I5t's a ghost back channel with an "ambience " control. If you have a TURNTABLE A pl 1000 IS A MUST, its a noise reducer and dynamic range expander.

Very nice, Lee. I would love to add those components to my system. I think I should post pictures of some of my Pioneer car audio stuff of the same vintage. It's also silver-faced and all still work. It's like mini-Spec gear for the road.

If you have a convetional two-shaft analog Supertuner II with search, with-wo Dolby to spare I'd like one for the Honda fairing on my Rollfast...seriously. The UX-1 has a clock and memory that has a constant residual drain and I'd put it in one of the sheds to play when I'm out there if I could find one. I sold it for maybe 4-1 bucks more than I spent but it's a hindsight thing and I cannot see my own hind.

My uncle had an original Supertuner underdash with cassette in his 1979 Pinto and DSOTM sounded great!

How many quid do I skid, guv'na?

I'm 45 in June and that is a lot of spinning for a simple moose from Frostbite Falls.
