(Edit- referring to Nando’s post) I think those are 86 vintage, and what I find interesting is the newer shell on the SA-X. If I didn’t see this picture I would have said they never had those shells together in a pack. It seems to me they were trying to clear old shell stock on the SA tapes, to make room for the new shells.
Miles: You have submitted many great pictures of cassettes. This thread will serve as an archive of the various brands of cassette tapes throughout modern history. Anyone going to submit any photos of the current-production cassettes?
