Never thought the tapes, themselves, would be of more value than the deck they are being played in. My Pioneer CT-WM77R with seven TDK MA-R tapes. Yes, I unsealed them years ago.

Broken beyond repair but highly affable
Yeah but I used to be able to get great tapes at the department store or the mall. Now I need a Mastercard? Phooey.

Every now and then some old dude (my age) dies and the thrift store gets their stuff, laserdiscs even. Otherwise it's Mantovani and 101 Strings.

A clear conscience is actually a bad memory.
I love the early TDK tapes ( 1978+ ) and equally the early Sony tapes.... I love the early Maxell MX, But my favourite tapes are probably the BSASF TP11 Maxima...

Although i am having a massive love in with early TDK AD tapes! If i had to choose one good tape type for everyday use, it would be those...or Sony AHF..

There are some excellent tapes in members 'collections' .... I am looking for the last elusive TOTL tape to try, the Maxell Vertex.... never seen one, never heard one, but i do know that i cannot bring myself to pay the money asked for a secondhand tape!

TDK AD all day long for me!

I still prefer this...

It can contain an amount of content of any kind which is almost endless, but without any Bias, Noise Reduction or drop out problems..

Yes, one of your favourites, Miles. Here is a step back in time to 2013, when I received Miles' "The Flying Dutchman" mix tape recorded to a classic TDK SA-X C90 with Dolby B:

And a video of the mix tape being played, soon after I got it:

Yeah. There should have been more since 2014 when this pic was made up. But I never added to it. Actually I don't think I made scans of the tapes since then. There are some missing.
