Pics of your Favorite Cassette Tapes

(Edit- referring to Nando’s post) I think those are 86 vintage, and what I find interesting is the newer shell on the SA-X. If I didn’t see this picture I would have said they never had those shells together in a pack. It seems to me they were trying to clear old shell stock on the SA tapes, to make room for the new shells.

I've only got two ARs, 46 and 60 and something just didn't work right recording the other day.

And after I downloaded the manual I now see what I couldn't the other night.

I had an AR 60 in my CT-F1250 and the recording sounded HORRIBLE after trying to make a CD for a mixtape master (it never registered and my computers failed to see it even)....

Now it dawns on me that I had the type switch set to METAL as well as the Bias because I couldn't read the face and assumed it was STD (Type I) first and totally forget the deck handles FeCr Type III as well....

Well, Mr. Whipple caught me squeezing my CHAGRIN. I probably about BBQ'd that TDK. Okay, try that again.

Miles: You have submitted many great pictures of cassettes. This thread will serve as an archive of the various brands of cassette tapes throughout modern history. Anyone going to submit any photos of the current-production cassettes?

Thanks, you're right, Jim- they are not 1983 vintage TDKs. I did contact the seller with a reasonable offer, but he declined. I hadn't mentioned to him he got the year wrong in his ad.

Which ones do you want, RCA or Maxell UR MIC? About the same thing. I can't even find TDK D in stores anymore.

No, I'm thinking the new RTM FOX, NAC tapes, etc.
