Absolutely Joe. A 400 is not a bad stopgap and it's quite possible it will be plenty of amp for you...The Snells would love to sidle up to a sweet 400.....
Once I get a true fc 700 or 400. I can borrow a modwright for 5 days. That's gonna be awesome but that's a 5k tube pre also. I don't plan on buying one lmao. I got a line on a few 700's if it works out ill offer you 1.
Is it possible that a fully WO'd, and or other modded PL 400 could sound better then this 700B sitting in front me as it is? (Not in Max volume). Seems like from what we talked about, it may be possible???
Absolutely Joe, that 700 has just got the new driver board and a quasi comp output stage. The Fully comp models are quieter, much larger soundstage, less distortion, and the bass is even tighter....
