Always Thinking Outside The Box.
Hi Steve
Yes available immediately. I will be adding to the price list at $7.50 in kit form plus shipping. Includes the 4 film capacitors (0.022uF/400V) that were designed in to fit the available PL400 space. I don't have documentation yet but the pictures pretty much tell the entire story.
Sounds Good and a Good Idea.
I will add some to my Cap kits Update.

That looks real sweet! Prior to 2004, my wife and I spent our summers prospecting/ digging / dredging Gold around Georgia. We knew quite a few folks over the years who moved down to CR for the Gold prospects.

Paint is not a friend of heat sinks Gene. Unless you are adding for visual appearance only. Black anodize is the coating used for heat sinks.

Not to hijack this thought, but the D500 I picked up a few months ago is fully disassembled and getting bits and pieces done before I start reassembly sometime later this year. The rear section and heat sink is a heavy hunk of anodized aluminum but God only knows what horrors this poor system endured to get this beat up on the bottom edges. I am planning to dress this mess with filing and maybe some emery cloth so at least there won't be mashed and sharp edges exposed.

As I understand, there is no option to "re-anodize" the exposed aluminum areas, and painting is probably not the best option. Is there anything other than a REALLY BIG sharpie to use for touching up this mess?

A normal size sharpie?

But, sharpie often looks purple (like faded anodize) so you might consider a Milwaukee “inks-all” however they spell it. It’s a more durable ink (German) that I think is a bit more opaque. More permanent than sharpie too, but not approved for use by P&W aircraft engines.

I've used a red or black sharpie numerous times to touch up faded anodizing on vintage bicycle parts many times. It works great for re-dyeing the pores created by the anodizing process.
However, those fins have the original anodizing pores scraped off. Maybe perhaps a stronger ink or dye like Jim suggests will work. Or read up on home anodizing.
When I was young I used to do a lot of hunting and trapping. We used to boil the new shiny traps in water and walnut husks. This not only removed all the manufacturing oils and scents, but also dyed the traps a deep brown color that lasted all season and then some.
