I guess all the weak components died , (Gene did not want them in their) I think they started out wrong ,, weeks ago . I tried steering it back from the ground up,, I think this Funny looking board has better traces than the 400 II and 700 II wow every time I go in their,, Wire fall off and some times after unsoldering components the traces lift up LOL every time I flip the board back up I look for broken wires.Sure, either that or bug out all the fried components...
I like to use a Tooth brush and I brush everything its amazing the stuff that you can't see that fall out but the fallen solder can the hardest to see and shorts derive out. Also look at the front of the board for anything that also fall in-between stuff and also look at the last output transistor (all) for more fallen solder.

Yes for serious pros...I thought about soldering your nuts in place Gene but then figured we would not have another 83 pages...backplane????
i read that is the tough one...

Thought you might like the experience of soldering your nuts in place.
I believe so. We will be in for a treat with his assembly photos, he is a pro...and very willing to be helpful too. Listen well Gene.gotta learn...better sooner tgan later...
i was wondering if music man got the backplane kit also??
