Do you have to use the backplane boards with a WO driver board? Couldn't he make it full comp using the original style wiring and just connect that to the new driver board and keep the original chassis and such ?
 
Yes he certainly could...and Ed has done so many times with the stock boards. I don't know of anybody who has taken a Rev D board in full comp mode and converted a stock backplane setup, but it can be done...

So it's time to get started then. Not to many changes . You need extra wire to 27 connection on the control board I think. I may have a schematic. I do have series two comp schematic.

Suggest adding a mirror ferric bead

I sure I could but where can I buy the heat sinks made for the amp. Then there is the little problem installing them as I would be in territory I don't want to be meaning I would have to start taking apart stuff I know nothing about and no correct tools and also gadgets to test with. I would love to have Silvara/Sally to get copper fins, copper lined interior and maybe a new copper faceplate. I would imagine the copper would have tp be coated with something so you don't end up with an uglyassed tarnished out amp (think how an old penny looks after while)

The only thing that should be green in an amp is a FEW wires....jeez people.....GREEN?????
