Indeed. You have a mess of prior repairs from the look of it. Highly recommend you fully WOPL it. Won't need anything for the next 20-30 years.

You ordered correctly Greg, 14 of MJ21195 and 14 of MJ21196. You are good.

wont one of the same transistors joe uses in the wopl backplanes work in the quasi config...i thought i saw that somewhere....

or maybe my imagination...

MJ21196 (NPN) should work in the quasi config.

My videos are old, not current to the most recent revisions of Joe’s kits. I’ve only done three WOPL rebuilds, unlike others who have done many. There may be some tips and hints that would help, feel free to have a look. Keep in mind that I’m just a clumsy hobbyist with corny jokes.

I never saw the ECC388 Output Transistors before this amplifier. Didn't see a datasheet for it either...

Same as an NTE388 Mark, ECC used to be around as an NTE like competitor or got swallowed up by NTE. Not sure of the lineage.

Yup, found a NTE388 datasheet, not a bad device. Could not discover when ECC died or merged with NTE.
