Mr_rye89’s WOPL 400 Build Containment Thread

I made the mistake of typing that in with safe search off......

I'll grab some of those next time I'm at lowes. My Klein Katapults and T stripper won't do 'em and so I've been using electrician's scissors with blood pressure raising results......

Katapults work great on PVC but not on Teflon

the lil ones?

……the shop vac is allergic to coke

Yep, they form a tough "Stalk" so they don't get jostled and bent and broken when you catch the soldering iron cord, your sleeve, beer bottle etc... on them. kinda like this.

Kyle, I had a red bias wire burn through when I built my first 400. There were several broken strands at the backplane board from stressing them during assembly, and yes, I probably nicked them when stripping. I should have secured them in a bundle with a zip tie. If you check out photos of Perry's builds you'll see his technique.
I have reduced this issue by using Phoenix Contact Connectors on the backplanes and control board for those fine gauge wires.

I pulled out the fuses and found 15A ones in all the holders.....WTF!

Anyways are Mouser's AGX fuses in the 5 pack or individual? $3 per fuse is highway robbery......
